On November 28, 2024, the Polish Association for Security (PAS) began cooperation with a new partner – the University of Białystok. Based on the agreement signed agreement by the Rector of the University – prof. Mariusz Popławski and CEO of the PAS – Jarosław Tokarczyk, joint activities will be focused on issues related to public, national and state security. This topic, especially in the geopolitical context, is extremely important today, especially in light of the current situation related to the war in Ukraine. The signing of the agreement was attended by the deans of two key faculties: prof. Elżbieta Kużelewska from the Faculty of Law and Assoc. Prof. Adam Bartnicki, prof. UwB from the Faculty of International Relations. Both units have significant potential to implement joint projects. The ceremony, attended by the director of NATO DEEP eAcademy and Prof. Maksym Kustov from the Civil Defense University of Ukraine, emphasizes the international dimension of the activities undertaken. The developed international cooperation will not only strengthen prevention and education systems but will also build lasting relationships with partners around the world, which will contribute to achieving the strategic goals of the University of Białystok. During previous talks, the possibilities offered by the e-Kormoran learning platform in the field of education and prevention were also discussed. This platform provides access to courses in Polish, English and Ukrainian. Course participants can receive certificates confirmed by NATO, which significantly increases the value of the training.
