On April 12, 2025, the 15th edition of the International Robotic Tournament took place in Rybnik. This year’s event brought together 128 teams, 448 participants, and 501 robots from countries such as Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, and even Peru.
The Polish Association for Security, together with the Institute for Social Research and Education, served as a supporting entity for this year’s tournament. NATO DEEP eAcademy provided honorary patronage and also acted as a strategic partner, highlighting the importance of the initiative for the development of education in technology, innovation, and security.
The competition featured 15 categories, including well-known ones such as Sumo, LineFollower, RoboDragRace, and Freestyle, as well as new formats like LineFollower Turbo and Photon Challenge. The tournament was not only an opportunity to test construction and programming skills, but also a chance to exchange experiences, build international relations, and promote science in the spirit of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
Robotic Tournament 2025 demonstrated the tremendous potential of young robotics enthusiasts – future engineers, programmers, and innovation leaders. The event promotes the idea of safe and responsible use of modern technologies, which is one of the key objectives of the Polish Association for Security.
