The 2nd International Counter-Terrorism Congress will take place on April 9-10, 2024, in the Robert Schuman Conference Center of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. The conference will be attended by Polish and international experts representing NATO structures, entities of the international security environment, as well as government and local administration units.The event is primarily addressed to:
- Representatives of government and local administration,
- Police officers, special services and other public security institutions,
- Soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces,
- Police and military special forces operators,
- Rescue service officers,
- Security and technical protection workers,
- Managers of security in public buildings and facilities crucial for state security,
- Scientists, experts and students.
The event, which is planned to be attended by approximately 300 people, will be held under the auspices of NATO DEEP eAcademy. The Polish Association for Security is among the organizational and substantive partners of the congress. The Counter-Terrorism Congress is the largest cyclical event of this type in Poland. The areas of interest of this year’s edition will include the following issues:
- The nature and characteristics of terrorism,
- Terrorist attacks – essence, characteristics and case studies,
- Legal basis for counter-terrorism activities,
- Institutional dimension of counter-terrorism activities,
- Prevention and preparation in counter-terrorism activities,
- Response and reconstruction in counter-terrorism activities,
- Counter-terrorism activities.
