26 October 2024. Experts from the Centre for Social and Economic Risk Research at Collegium Civitas – experienced trainers, instructors with many years of military experience, Mr Marek Pilewski and Mr Grzegorz Cieślak – conducted an integrated training for members of our association. It covered issues related to responding to terrorist incidents, the basics of TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) and preparatory actions in the event of an armed conflict and large-scale crisis.
The trainees had the opportunity to explore issues related to the motivations and profile of the perpetrator, the tools used in attacks and the specifics of their impact. They were also introduced to methods and techniques for responding to the actions of an armed attacker, procedures for dealing with the threat of explosive devices and how to reduce vulnerability to such incidents. The training covered the full spectrum of response – from recognising the first signs of an incident, to assisting the injured, to organising the absorption of external support. The knowledge gained and awareness of key aspects of risk will enable the development of effective strategic and operational action programmes to support the professional and social safety of participants.
