Necessary Defense Training in Olsztyn

The Polish Association for Security (Polish Association for Security – PAS) organized a specialized training on necessary defense, conducted in cooperation with Shooting Adventure and the Institute for Social Research and Education Foundation (IBIES).

Institutional Cooperation

The event was carried out within the framework of a partnership with Shooting Adventure and the Institute for Social Research and Education. The training program combined legal, technical, and practical aspects of necessary defense, ensuring a comprehensive approach to this complex subject matter.

Training Program

The sessions were led by a necessary defense expert – Jarosław Hebda, who provided participants with detailed knowledge regarding the legal framework for the utilization and use of firearms in threat situations. The training focused on key legal aspects of necessary defense, procedures preceding the use of firearms, and the limits of permissible defense in the context of Polish law.

Participants learned the principles of responsible handling of firearms in defensive situations, warning and notification procedures, as well as criteria for assessing the proportionality of defensive responses. The program also included analysis of cases involving exceeding the limits of necessary defense.

Training Results

The training enhanced participants’ competencies in the area of legal aspects of personal defense, providing practical knowledge necessary for the responsible use of defensive measures. The information conveyed during the sessions constitutes a valuable complement to the competency profile of security professionals and individuals holding firearms licenses.
