On 15th September 2024, members of the Association took part in the annual Family Shooting Picnic. The organisers took care not only of the beautiful weather, but also of numerous attractions. Participants had the opportunity to improve their first aid skills, which is extremely useful in everyday life. As the rescuers stressed, as many as 90% of sudden death cases are caused by cardiac arrest, and in such situations quick reaction and knowledge can save lives.
Afterward, the participants were able to test their skills at the shooting range, where various types of weapons – long guns, short guns and shotguns – were available. Shooting took place on several shooting axes, and everything was supervised by professional instructors. There was also an opportunity for children and adults to shoot with a bow.
The main attraction was the shooting competition. Adults were able to take part in a smoothbore rifle shooting timed competition and in archery competitions. For children, there were shooting competitions with sporting weapons for points, as well as archery competitions. The winners were honoured with medals and diplomas.
The entire event took place in a safe atmosphere, supervised by qualified instructors. After the intense sports competition, all participants gathered for a shared meal, prepared by a befriended restaurant, as well as delicacies for dessert, which were provided by a befriended bakery.
The picnic ended in a joyful atmosphere.
