On April 4, 2024, the Elk Branch Campus opened its doors to this year’s high school graduates and people interested in the educational offer of the University of Warmia and Mazury. The project was attended by representatives of the Polish Association for Security and NATO DEPP eAcademy, supporting the sphere of distance learning and VR solutions. In total, about 500 people showed up at the Branch facilities. People who came to the Branch’s headquarters could learn about the advantages of the courses offered in Ełk, visit the uniformed services stations, and take advantage of attractions prepared by the Branch’s employees and students. Students of “Preschool and early school pedagogy” prepared classes in which both children and teenagers could take part – including animations for children, activating games and quizzes. Students of “Internal Security” presented the guests with, among other things, forensic procedures, while nursing students actively promoted health-promoting attitudes and behaviors.
